How Can I Use a Reserved IP?

Modified on Thu, Dec 7, 2023 at 8:33 AM

You can assign your reserved IP address to both existing and newly created VPSs. Even if you decide to delete your VPS, you can still keep the reserved IP and reassign it as needed.

Typical cases of usage might be:

  • you need to reinstall your virtual machine, you can choose to retain your IP address and seamlessly transition it to your new VPS.
  • if you are strategically organizing the infrastructure of your server or database, reserving your IP addresses ahead of time enables you to predefine DNS names.
