Please note that while this guide is specific to installing a Windows Server on your SkySIlk VPS, you can upload many different operating system ISO images to host something else if you wish. The important part

SkySilk now offers KVM virtual machines and custom ISO's! This means the ability to install Windows and Windows Server for a lot of our customers. Here I'll take you through the steps to install Windows Server 2019 Eval Edition on a SkySilk KVM virtual machine. If you've ever installed Windows before, these steps will seem very familiar to you.

Step One: Upload your ISO

First head over to "Upload .ISO" section after hitting the "Create VPS" button.

Select the appropriate Windows Version.

Upload New OS Image and browse to your Windows ISO and upload. This can take a while, depending on your upload speeds.

When that's done you'll see you ISO ready to launch.

For this example we will be using a 2 CPU instance with 8 GB memory with 100 GB SSD storage.

Step Two: Install the ISO

Use the VNC pop up console to go through with Windows Server installation

Now we're ready to go through with the installation. Click next to begin.

We're going to be setting up with the Desktop Experience option:

Since this is a fresh installation we'll pick the 2nd option highlighted in red:

We'll be installing into Drive 0 Unallocated Space

Go through with the set up

Pick a strong and secure password

Log in with the password you creadted

You will be taken to the Server Manager Dashboard
